Creating a Farm Using a Targeted List

There are two methods for creating your farm. You can define your addresses using a targeted list as described below, or you can choose to Import Addresses. Before you define addresses, you must first select your postcard set.

Creating a Targeted List

You can define a street address, and enter the number of addresses you want returned from the area surrounding that address. You can repeat this process multiple times to create your farm for a single campaign. Your farm can contain multiple zip codes.

Warning: If you are using Internet Explorer, ensure that your Discuss feature is disabled. From your browser's main menu, View > Explorer Bar > Discuss. The Discuss feature is disabled when it does not have a check mark next to it. Repeat this step for all your open browser windows.

To target your addresses:

  1. Open the Farm Management page. How?closetriangle.gif

  2. On the Create New tab, enter a targeted street address in an empty row. If you do not remember the target street name, you can enter just a zip codeclosetriangle.gif

  3. In the Quantity column, enter the number of addresses surrounding the targeted address that you want to include in your search result.

  4. Click Save. What happensclosetriangle.gif

  5. (Optional) Exclude any addresses (see following procedure).

To exclude addresses from your mailing campaign:

  1. Click the link in the Available column.

  2. Select the addresses that you wish to exclude from the Mailing List column and click arrowLeft.gif.

    The addresses are moved to the Exclude Address List column and will be excluded from current and future mailings.

  3. Click Close.

Note: Your mailing list is automatically topped up with the same number of addresses that you excluded. The new addresses that were retrieved to top up your mailing list are marked in red.
