Optimizing your Top Producer® 8i CRM Dashboard

While the Top Producer CRM Dashboard comes ready-to-use and includes by default all of the features designed to help you conduct your day-to-day business, you may want to take advantage of the available customization options. There are several things you can do to adjust the display of the dashboard to better suit your needs.

Optimize Your Computer

Before making any changes in Top Producer CRM, it’s worth exploring some features of your computer that can help optimize your use of the program.

Screen Resolution

Different computers with different monitors will display your computer’s content in different resolutions. The minimum resolution necessary to run Top Producer CRM is 1024×768 pixels, which is usually the standard minimum resolution that a modern computer will be using. The recommended screen resolution for Top Producer CRM is 1280×1024 pixels, or higher. Making sure your monitor is using the recommeded resolution will make it easy view Top Producer CRM screens and options without having to scroll the window.

To find out what resolution your computer is using follow the below instructions for your version of Microsoft Windows:

  • Windows XP: Right Click on any empty part of your windows desktop. In the pop-up menu, select Properties. Select the Settings Tab. Your screen resolution will be displayed, and you will have the option of changing the resolution.
  • Windows 7: Right Click on any empty part of your windows desktop. In the pop-up menu, select Screen Resolution (or go to your windows Control Panel and in the Appearance and Personalization section, select Adjust screen resolution). The resolution will be displayed and you will have the option to to change it.
  • Windows 10: Right Click on any empty part of your windows desktop. In the pop-up menu, select Display Settings. The resolution will be displayed and you will have the option to to change it.

Internet Browser Full Screen Mode

In addition to changing your screen resolution, you can gain more screen-space for viewing Top Producer by toggling on your Internet Browser’s Full Screen mode. When viewing any web-page in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome or Edge press F11 on your keyboard. This will hide the browser toolbar, leaving more space for the webpage content. To switch back to normal mode, press F11 again.

Customizing the Top Producer Dashboard

By using the options available in your Top Producer settings, you can change the way information is displayed on the Dashboard.

Re-Order the Dashboard Areas

You can quickly change the order of the four main dashboard areas (My Business, Sales Pipeline, Listings, and Closings). At the top right of each area is an Up Arrow Up Arrow or Down Arrow Down Arrow. Clicking the arrow will re-order the boxes. This is useful if, for instance, you prefer to display your Sales Pipeline or Listings at the top instead of My Business.

Removing Dashboard Areas

If you prefer to remove one or more of the areas from the Dashboard instead of re-ordering them, you can hide them from within your Top Producer settings.

  1. At the top right of any Top Producer CRM screen, go to the Account Menu and click Settings.
  2. Select the Home tab.
  3. Click Edit Home Settings.

  4. If you would like to prevent an area from displaying on your dashboard, remove the check next to its Show on Dashboard option.
  5. When finished making changes, click Save Home Settings.

It is not possible to remove or hide the Contact List.

Setting the My Business and Sales Pipeline Default Tabs

By default, the My Business area will display your activities separated into tabs divided by activity type, and show the contents of the Calls tab. Also, the Sales Pipeline area will display the New tab by default. You can change these defaults from the Home Settings area.

  1. At the top right of any Top Producer CRM screen, go to the Account Menu and click Settings.
  2. Select the Home tab.
  3. Click Edit Home Settings.
  4. Select your desired option in the Default Tab menus for both the My Business and Sales Pipeline areas. For My Business, you can also choose the default date range to display, and choose to display all of your activities in one tab instead of separate tabs.
  5. When finished, click Save Home Settings.

Log in to the Dashboard.
