The Things to Talk About option is available at the top right of the Contact Record Header.
Clicking the option will display one of two screens: Search Listing Data, or Recent Listing Activity in the Area. Which screen is initially shown is dependent upon the Lead Type assigned to this contact within the Lead Info tab. If the Lead Type is Buyer, Search Listing Data will appear. If the Lead Type is set to any other option, or not set, the Recent Listing Activity will appear displaying results based on the contact’s property address(es).
Search Listing Data
Clicking Search Contact’s Existing Properties will perform a search for listings based on up to three addresses contained in the Contact Record (the Primary Property is always included in the 3). Alternatively, under Search Buyer Preferences, you can enter specific search criteria and click Search.
If you have specified information in the Buyer Preferences fields within the Lead Info tab, this information will be automatically populated in the fields. Using either option will perform the search and then display the Recent Listing Activity in the Area box.
Recent Listing Activity in the Area
If the Top Producer property search is available in your area, the search results will display List and Sale Price information for listings that match your criteria (or within the area of the contact record’s properties). Use this information to showcase your knowledge about the area, and initiate a conversation with the contact that could lead to the buying or selling of a property. Clicking Refine search will display the Search Listing Data screen.
Results are divided in to two categories:
- New Listings: You can view the list dates and prices, as well as view the property locations on a map. Selecting a property on the map will provide a link to the realtor.com® Listing page where you can view additional information.
- Recently Sold Listings: You can view the sold dates and prices, as well as view the property locations on a map.
For New Listings Only: Selecting a property on the map will provide a link to the realtor.com® Listing page where you can view additional information.
Note: If using the Search Contact’s Existing Properties option, and the property information is not appearing, ensure the State, City and Street Address are complete and accurate in the contact record. If the property address is entered correctly and the property information still isn’t appearing, it is likely that Top Producer’s property search is not currently available in the contact’s area.
