It’s no secret that walkability has become an extremely important factor to consumers looking to buy a home. And who can blame them? Who doesn’t want to be more fit, have more money, increase their community involvement, all while helping Mother Nature?
According to a recent NAR poll, while walkability is most important to the millenials, it’s also become increasingly important to all age groups. In fact, 48% of those asked said they’d take a smaller yard IF it meant they could walk to all amenities. (Don’t fret Fido—you might not have as much room to roam, but you’ll get more walks. I promise.)
Well now it’s way too easy for you to deliver the walkability details your clients want, because Market Snapshot now includes Walk Score® (and its awesome walkability ratings!):
Not only will your clients get walkability ratings for individual addresses, neighborhoods and cities, you’ll also tell them which neighborhoods are closest to the things that matter most to them.
An important thing to note is that currently Walk Score® is only available when Market Snapshot is viewed on a smartphone. The desktop/tablet version used to have amenity info on the Community Info tab, but we’ve since removed it. No need to worry though—we’re working on bringing this to the desktop/tablet version, and in the meantime, all of the amenity info and more is included in the smartphone version.
