Linking your Existing Domain Name
If you already have an existing domain name, you can easily associate it with your site. Contact your domain registrar to change your domain's name servers to point to our domain name servers.
Once this step is completed, you can link your domain name to your website.
- Login to your Websites account.
- From the Quick Tools section of the main page, click on Manage My Domain Names and Email Addresses.
- From the Domain Manager click the Add Domain link.
- Enter your domain name in the Enter Your Domain Name www. text box.
Note: Ensure the domain name you enter is exactly the same as provided by your registrar and that it contains only valid characters. Valid characters consist of letters, numbers and periods ".". Do not enter "www" in the space provided as it has already been entered for you. Example: mydomain.com
- Click OK.
Note: Your domain registrar will ask for Websites domain name server in order to link your domain name to our domain name server. You can find this information under the DNS Information: section of the Domain Manager window.
