Internet Explorer Configuration
Note: These steps are for using Top Producer on Internet Explorer. Firefox users should read Mozilla Firefox Configuration.
Before you begin with Top Producer CRM, you should properly configure Internet Explorer for a seamless Top Producer experience.
Configuring Internet Options for Internet Explorer
- From the Internet Explorer menu bar, select Tools, then Internet Options.
- Select the Privacy tab in the Internet Options pop-up.
- If Turn on Pop-up Blocker is checked, click Settings. If it is not checked, you may skip this step.
- Type www.topproducer8i.com in the Address of website to allow field.
- Click the Add button.
- Click the Close button to close the Pop-Up Blocker Settings pop-up.
- Click the OK button to close the Internet Options pop-up.
Configuring your browser to open Top Producer pop-ups in tabs rather than launching new browser windows makes navigating between windows easier. Your Top Producer windows will display as tabs on a single browser window, instead of hiding them on the Windows taskbar. It is recommended, though not essential, that you enable tabbed browsing.
- From the Internet Explorer menu bar, select Tools, then Internet Options. You will be on the General tab.
- Select Settings from the Tabs section.
- Check Enable Tabbed Browsing if it is not already checked.
- Check Always switch to new tabs when they are created.
- From the When a pop-up is encountered section, select the Always open pop-ups in a new tab option.
- Click the OK button to close the Tabbed Browsing Settings pop-up.
- Click the OK button to close the Internet Options pop-up.
Configuring the Google and Yahoo Toolbar Pop-up Settings
Top Producer CRM uses pop-up windows in many parts of the application. If you use the Google or Yahoo toolbar, you must configure them to allow Top Producer pop-ups.
Adding Top Producer and Top Producer Campus to your Internet Explorer Favorites
- Open Internet Explorer and type in the Web address you wish to favorite.
- To favorite the Top Producer CRM sign-in page, type in www.topproducer8i.com.
- To favorite the Top Producer Campus page, type in www.topproducer.com/campus.
- From your open Internet browser window, click Favorites from the menu bar.
- Click Add to Favorites.
- Choose a Name and location for the favorite.
- Click the Add button.
- The Top Producer Web address can now be accessed by clicking Favorites in the Internet Explorer menu bar and choosing your Top Producer favorite.
