Leads can come from a variety of sources, such as commercial lead providers, showings, or advertising. If you have a Top Producer Website, your own Web site, or Market Snapshot, you can set up 8i to automatically add those who request information from these sites as leads into the system.
To view a list of all your leads, go to the Contacts main menu icon and click Leads Summary.
- Favorites: To display your Favorite leads at the top of the list, click the Favorites icon
in the header bar. - Date column: By default, leads are sorted by creation date. You can reorder the list by clicking on any column name, such as Name.
- Show drop-down list: By default, only leads with a status of “New” display. If you’d like to see other leads, click the drop-down list and select a different status.
- Source column: This column tells you from where your lead came.
- To the right of each lead are 3 quick access icons.

icon: Create a presentation for the lead. - Apply Action Plan
icon: Apply an action plan to the lead. - Delete Lead
icon: Remove the lead from your database.

- To add a new lead click the Add Lead link.
- To open multiple leads at once, place a check mark next to the desired leads and click the Mass Open link. Use the Mass Open toolbar to scroll through the lead records.
- To add a lead to your Prospect List click on the Add to Prospect List link or to remove a lead from your prospect list click on the Exclude from Prospect List link.
- To generate report for either a group of leads or for invidividual lead records click on the Create Report link.
- To delete multiple leads at once place a check mark in the checkbox to the left of their name then click on the Mass Delete link.
