Lead Trends
Lead Quality is established by entering information into the Lead Record indicating the date range a lead will most likely be Ready to Transact, and their assessed Interest Level. If a lead record does not have this information, they will not have any trend information nor factor into the Lead Quality Chart in the Leads Portlet. If you manually set the Lead Quality in a Lead Record, the trend information will not be calculated but they will be included in the Lead Quality Chart.
For information about how to set these values, you can read about Lead Qualification and Lead Quality.
Lead Trends
Shortly before the Transaction Date range is about to expire, 8i assesses the Lead Qualification values and automatically updates the Lead Quality value. In addition, 8i also displays a trend indicator (
or
) to indicate whether the lead trend is going up or down. The lead trend symbol appears in the record header approximately 1 month before the Transaction Dates are set to expire.
Note: The trend indicator does not appear if the lead's status is set to Not Set or Exclude.
Lead Quality in the Leads Portlet
You can view a summary of all of your leads, categorized by Lead Quality, from the Leads Portlet on the 8i Dashboard.

From the Dashboard, click the Lead Quality tab in the Leads Portlet to view a pie chart that displays your lead quality percentages.
- The exact number of leads assigned each lead quality value is displayed in the legend.
- You can display a list of all leads assigned a specific lead quality by clicking the value in the legend. For example, click Hot to view all leads assigned this value. You can then perform actions for these leads, such as scheduling an activity or performing a mass update. Clicking one of these links is the equivalent of performing an Advanced Search for Lead Quality.

Tip: You can set the Lead Quality tab to be displayed by default. To do this, click on the Account menu in the top right corner and click on Settings. On the Home tab, set the Leads option to Lead Quality and click Save Home Settings.
