Lead Qualification and Lead Quality
Based on specific criteria in the Lead Record, the Lead Quality feature automatically assigns a value to each of your leads that indicates how close they are to buying or selling a home. You can then focus on those leads who will be ready to buy or sell in the near future. In addition, over time, 8i automatically updates the Lead Quality and displays a symbol to indicate whether the lead trend is going up or down. Alternatively, it is possible to manually set the Lead Quality for each record instead of allowing the system to calculate it automatically.

In order for 8i to assign Lead Quality values, you must specify values in the Ready to Transact and Interest Level fields in the Lead Record.
Setting Lead Qualification in an Existing Lead Record
- Open a Lead Record.
- Select the Lead Info tab and click Edit Lead Info.
- Under Lead Qualification, there are several options available:

- Ready to Transact: Select a date range that best describes when the lead will buy or sell their home. If you are editing a lead that already has this option set, the Set on field displays when the Ready to Transact value was originally set, and the Transaction Dates displays the dates when the lead will likely buy or sell their home. Click Use Today's Date to recalculate the Transaction Dates. The Set on date changes to today's date, and the Transaction Dates update accordingly.
- Interest Level: Select an interest level, ranging from 1 to 5, based upon your impression of how enthusiastic they are about buying or selling their home.
- Financing Approved: Select whether their financing has been accepted.
- Lead Quality: If the Lead Quality is system-calculated, 8i updates the value based on the information you specified in the Ready to Transact and Interest Level fields. If you'd like to manually set the Lead Quality, click the Manual Setlink and choose your desired setting.
Tip: If you want 8i to automatically update the Lead Quality again in the future, simply click the Reset link.
- After making your manual selections for Lead Qualification, click Save Lead Info.
The Lead Quality button in the record Header will be updated to show the new information you have manually entered.
