Adding a Web Lead Form to a Website
Note: Web lead forms are designed for external websites not otherwise compatible with Top Producer products. If you have a Top Producer Website and would like to configure lead forms, click here.
Web Lead Forms can be added to a 3rd party website using two methods:
- Including a hyperlink to the form within the website. When a website visitor clicks the link, the form will open on a new page.
- Including the form Source Code in the website. The form will be framed within the web page.
Obtaining the Web Lead Form URL
Each Web Lead Form you create in 8i is automatically published to the internet and has a unique URL (website address). To obtain the URL of the form, follow the below steps:- Click Web Lead Forms in the Contacts pull down menu. This will display a list of any previously created web lead forms.
- Click the preview icon
next to the desired Web Lead Form to open the form in your browser. - Highlight the URL in the browser address bar and copy it, either by right clicking on it and choosing Copy or by pressing Ctrl and C simultaneously on your keyboard.
- When editing your website, paste the URL into the web page at the desired location and create a hyperlink using the website editor. When a website visitor clicks the hyperlink, the Web Lead Form will open in a new browser tab or window.
Note: Every website is managed and configured differently. Top Producer does not provide support for editing 3rd party websites. If you are not sure how to edit your website or add a hyperlink, contact your website administrator.
Obtaining the Web Lead Form Source Code
To obtain the source code for the Web Lead Form, follow the below steps:- Click Web Lead Forms in the Contacts pull down menu. This will display a list of any previously created web lead forms.
- Click the Generate Source Code icon
next to the desired Web Lead Form. - Select the desired source code format, either .ASP or .CPP(CGI), and click the Generate Source Code button.
- A download prompt will appear. Save the file to your computer.
- The source code can be inserted into your website at the desired location. The Web Lead Form will be displayed within the web page and a website visitor can complete the form and submit their information from within your website.

Note: Every website is managed and configured differently. Top Producer does not provide support for editing 3rd party websites. If you are not sure which source code type to select, or how add the source code to a web page, contact your website administrator.
