Browser Functions in Top Producer
Through the years, most Top Producer products have retained the same basic contact management and scheduler features, building as time went on to the full-featured suite of tools for the Real Estate professional that it is today. Long time users are at home with such concepts as Contact Types, Mass Mail and Email functions, Action Plans and using their database to build their business.
But there is more to Top Producer than immediately meets the eye. One thing that most users don’t realize is that Top Producer runs completely within the browser, and as such has access to all of the tools and features that today’s internet browsers provide. Here’s just a few things that Top Producer can do that are brand new to this version of the product and as a direct result of working hand-in-hand with your computer’s internet browser:
- Tabbed Browsing: Previously, Top Producer online products were limited to a single window. Now in Top Producer, you can open as many tabs within the program as you like. Say for example you want to open a contact record while you’re in the middle of working on customizing a flyer template. Just right-click on the Contacts Summary menu item and select Open in New Tab and you can look up the contact without disrupting your work on the flyer.
- Bookmarks: Practically every page within Top Producer can be bookmarked, from the Calendar to the Email inbox to the Financial section. What this means is that if you have specific areas of the program that you use with great regularity, you don’t need to navigate to them from the homepage every time you login… Just bookmark them!
- The Links Toolbar: Internet Explorer and Firefox now include the ability to set links into a Links Toolbar, for one-click access to any site you want. Like bookmarks, just about any page in Top Producer can be added to the Links Toolbar. Just drag and drop the address from the browser’s Address Bar to the Links Toolbar and you’re all set.

- The Fullscreen Function: Not enough room on the screen for that email you’re composing or your entire list of contacts? There’s a browser function that can help. Press F11 on your keyboard to toggle fullscreen, which removes all the toolbars at the top and bottom of your browser window. Pressing F11 again returns the browser window to normal.
