Adding Photos and Videos to a Blog Post

You can insert photos and videos into your blog posts to help your readers better understand what they are about. People pay attention to graphics, so having images on your blog can increase repeat visitors.

Inserting an Image

To insert an image into a post:

1. Place your cursor where you want to insert the image in the post.
2. Click the Add an Image icon to display the Add an Image pop-up.

   

3. Click the Select Files button to browse and upload an image.

1. Customize the image options, including Alternate Text, Alignment, and Size.
2. Click the Insert into Post button.

To upload your own video and insert a link into a post:

1. Place your cursor where you want to insert the video in the post.
2. Click the Add Video icon to display the Add an Image pop-up.

   

3. Click Select Files to browse and upload a video.

1. Customize the video options, including Title, Caption, and Description.
2. The Link URL field will automatically populate; you should not change this field.
3. Click the Insert into Post button.

   

Linking to a Video on the Web

To insert a link to a video on another website (such as YouTube):

1. Place your cursor where you want to insert the video in the post.
2. Click the Add Video icon to display the Add an Image pop-up.

   

3. Click the From URL tab.
4. Enter the URL of the video in the Video URL field.
5. Enter the link text into the Title field.
6. Click the Insert into Post button.
