The Contact Status feature groups your contacts to help you determine the level of interaction you have with each. You can then target specific groups to either increase or maintain consistent contact.
Once this feature is enabled, 8i sorts your contacts into groups by assigning each a status that is based on your level of interaction. Within 24 hours, a status is automatically assigned to each of your contacts. Click here to learn about enabling this feature.
The status of a single contact appears in the Contact Record header.
To assist you in formulating a plan for each group of contacts, 8i provides suggested next actions to take with the contact to either increase or maintain consistent contact. In addition, 8i also provides related property information for the contact's surrounding area that you can use to showcase your knowledge about the area.
Related property information appears in the right side of the contact header after clicking Things to Talk About. For more information, see The Things to Talk About Feature.

The status of all your contacts appears in a pie chart on the Dashboard.

Click anywhere on the pie chart to display the exact number of contacts that are assigned each status.

From the pop-up, you can view all contacts assigned a specific status by clicking the status. For example when you click on Ready to Transact you can view all contacts assigned this status. You can then perform actions for these contacts, such as scheduling an activity, performing a mass update, exporting the list or creating a report.

Note: Although statuses are automatically assigned based on specific criteria, you can manually assign statuses to each of your contacts if desired. For more information on the available statuses, see Contact Status.
