The following are some frequently asked questions our customers have asked us. Feel free to contact us if you have additional questions.

Where can I get a manual for using Top Connector 7i?

Review options A and B below, and select the one that applies to the type of Top Connector module you are using.

    A) If you are using a Web-based module, follow these steps to save a copy of the "Using Top Connector 7i" guide.

      Click here to open the Using Top Connector 7i guide in Adobe Acrobat Reader. This guide will demonstrate how to configure Top Connector 7i, download comparables from your MLS board, and create a CMA presentation.
      Note  To save a copy of the guide, from Adobe Acrobat Reader click File, and click Save A Copy. From the Save in: drop-down list, select Desktop . A copy of the guide will be saved to your Windows Desktop.

    B) If you are using an Import module, follow these two steps to save a copy of the "Using Top Connector 7i" guide, and also the "Import module" guide for your MLS board.

    1. Click here to open the Using Top Connector 7i guide in Adobe Acrobat Reader. This guide will demonstrate how to configure Top Connector 7i, import comparables from your MLS board, and create a CMA presentation.

    2. After you have saved a copy of the Using Top Connector 7i guide, then click the appropriate Import module guide from the list provided below.

      To use both guides, first configure Top Connector according to the Using Top Connector 7i guide. Then refer to the Import module user guide for instructions that are specific to your MLS board.

Is Top Connector 7i installed from a disk or CD?

Once you have purchased a license for Top Connector 7i, you will be able to select your MLS board from a list the next time you login to Top Producer 7i. No installation is required.

Will Top Connector 7i work with a dial-up MLS board?

Top Connector 7i will only work with web-based boards, or Import modules. Please note that most popular MLS boards already work with Top Producer 7i.

I own Top Connector 7i - can my assistant use Top Connector as well?

With Top Producer 7i, assistants automatically have access to Top Connector 7i as long as the Responsible Agent does.

I have more than one Top Producer 7i license. Why can only one of the agents access Top Connector 7i?

Although an assistant can be assigned rights to Top Connector 7i, each agent requires their own license.

If you have purchased more than one Top Connector 7i license, follow the steps below to assign MLS access to the appropriate agents.

If you have a team or partnership license for Top Producer 7i, from the main menu click My account. From the main menu, highlight My Account, and then click Agent administration. Select the agent, and click View or edit agent. From the Assign MLS access to this user section, click the list icon to select which MLS board(s) you want to grant the agent access to. This agent will now have MLS access.

If you have a broker owned Subscription, click Broker Tools, highlight Administration, and then click Agent Administration. Select the agent, and click View or edit agent. From the Assign MLS access to this user section, click the list icon to select which MLS board(s) you want to grant the agent access to. This agent will now have MLS access.

Message: Error performing search. No records match the qualifiers you have entered!

When performing a search, the following message may be returned:

Can not complete search. The following message was received from your MLS board. Please modify your search criteria and try again or contact the MLS board for more information.

Error performing search. No records match the qualifiers you have entered!

On the page "Property search — [MLS board name]", click in each search criteria field and review the entries you have made to ensure the information entered matches the examples shown in the help text panel at the top of the window.

Note: Some MLS boards have required fields that must have values entered in them in order for a search to be processed. To determine if a field is required, click in the field, and then refer to the help text panel which is displayed at the top of the "Create CMA - Property search" window. If you see the phrase: "Entry required" in the help text panel, it means this particular field is required. Repeat this step for each field on the search window. All fields that don’t display the phrase "Entry required" in the help text panel, are optional.

If the error persists, remove one search criteria from the Property search window, and try the download again. If necessary, repeat this step until you identify the field(s) that contain incorrect search criteria. It is likely the last item removed prior to a successful download that was causing the problem.

Message: Login failed! User ID/Password is not valid

This article assumes you received the following message when connecting to a Homeseekers-based MLS board:

Login failed! User ID/Password is not valid.

This message results when incorrect login information is entered in Login setup. Follow these corrective steps.

  1. Close all open processes inside Top Producer 7i.
  2. Point to Setup, then click Top Connector MLS setup
  3. Select the module you are using (i.e. Condo, Residential...) and then click Login setup.
  4. Confirm that each password field is entered correctly, and ensure that all passwords are entered in the correct case as well. When finished, click OK.
  5. Try the operation again. If the issue persists, please contact Top Producer Technical Support.

Message: You do not have priviledges to run the option ISAVE

When connecting to an RE/Xplorer-based MLS board, you may receive the following message:

Can not complete search. The following message was received from your MLS board. Please modify your search criteria and try again or contact the MLS board for more information. You do not have priviledges to run the option ISAVE.

This error is caused by incorrect login information entered in Login setup.

  1. Close all open processes inside Top Producer 7i.
  2. Point to Setup, then click Top Connector MLS setup
  3. Select the module you are using (i.e. Condo, Residential...) and then click Login setup.
  4. Confirm that each password field is entered correctly, and ensure that all passwords are entered in the correct case as well. When finished, click OK.
  5. Try the operation again. If the issue persists, please contact Top Producer Technical Support.

Message: Unable to download and install package wyldfyre.jar

The following message may appear trying to open a Wyldfyre-based Top Connector 7i module:

Unable to download and install package wyldefyre.jar

To resolve this issue, simply close all open programs, then login to Top Producer 7i and retry the operation. This issue can be caused by interference from other open browser windows or programs.
